MEETING DETAILS

This month's presentation will be The AEDs of an AED Program by Mary Beth O’Connell, RN, COHN-S, ARM-P. AEDs save lives and have become the standard of care in our communities. As of October 2001, all 50 states had enacted defibrillator laws or regulations to encourage easy access and limit liability for AED service providers. Buying an AED is easy, but implementing an AED program is much more than signing a purchase order and hanging them on the wall. California law is complicated, and AEDs in the workplace requires a risk-managed program. This means that you have thoroughly completed your “AEDs” before instituting an AED intervention program to comply with state laws or regulations. The AEDs of an AED program are Assessment, Evaluation, and Design, as well as additional safety and risk management considerations. Join us for the overview!

The Chapter meetings are held at the China Buffet. The restaurant is located at 1402 Broadway, Sacramento, CA 95818, next to the Tower Theater. The China Buffet’s meeting room holds 90 people comfortably (with no poles to block the view of the speaker). Parking is a concern, so we will encourage members to arrive by 11:15 pm.

Meetings are held from 11:30 to 1:00 at the China Buffet every fourth Tuesday. Cost is $15. We take checks! No reservations required. Lunch will start at 11:30 and the presentation will begin 12:00.
